Is Bank of America worth it in San Francisco? (customer service) My take
By Pablo Diaz · I left BoA after years as a customer. Read the full story →
San Francisco BoA customers reach out to me regularly with the same shape of complaint: rewards that don’t credit, fees that keep showing up, password resets that come back too often. This page covers what I documented as a BoA customer myself, the public regulator record, and the practical next steps if you want to do something about it from San Francisco.
What I observed (customer service)
In my experience, BoA customer service offered no real solutions. Calls were long, handoffs between departments were common, and rarely did I come away with a clear written outcome I could point to later. I would describe the pattern as friction-absorption rather than problem-solving — the call ends, the underlying issue rarely changes.
